Madeleine

Madeleine Thenhaus, the daughter of Michael and Linda Thenhaus of Oconomowoc, wins $12,000 over four years from the Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund. She graduated in the top 10% of her class, was a member of the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Student Council, and soccer and track teams.

Teachers say Madeleine can somehow “find the positives in negative situations.” She has been accepted into the Biological Sciences program at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul, where she will study neuroscience and biology. Madeleine's dream is to be a physician's assistant in a hospital neurosurgery department.
