The Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund (OSF) wishes to announce the transition of its board of directors’ president from Jolene Pipp to Katherine (Katie) Sadorf, effective August 2023.
“As an Oconomowoc High School graduate and current resident, I am excited to continue my participation on the OSF Board of Directors as the new President. I value the great work the OSF has done under Jolene’s leadership and am excited for our future,” said Sadorf.
The OSF benefits graduating high school seniors by funding their college dreams. The volunteer-run organization has provided 658 scholarships to students who live in the Oconomowoc Area School District. The application process opens Dec. 1 and awards are made in late May each year.
The scholarships are funded through grants from the Oconomowoc Area Foundation, and via community and business contributions, such as the Orbis Corporation with its recent donation to the OSF via their Night of Giving. “It’s through donations from families, grants, and companies that we can continue to award scholarships to graduating students year after year. OSF awarded 15 scholarships in 2023 including both four-year and two-year scholarships for those seeking a technical degree,” said Sadorf.
